My personal travel gadgets
Lately, I travel a lot and I always try to travel lite. I do this for several reasons: First I do not want to carry too much and second, I feel freer this way. The last couple of years, I spend time to search and actually test some of the top-rated travel gadgets out there. Some of it stays, and this list is what I can wholeheartedly recommend. This is no advertisement or anything, but only things that I actually use and like.
Matador Pocket Blanket
The Pocket Blanket is one of my favourite things to bring. It is basically a full-size blanket (160 x 110cm) that can be folded into a tiny package that is lightweight and can fit into your pocket. The blanket made of the same material as parachutes. It therefore doesn’t protect you from anything, but keeps you dry. It even comes with some tethered corner stakes, so you can stick it into the ground and the wind can’t pick it up. I always use it when sitting down in a park or even on the beach!
HUNU+ Reusable Cup
The collapsable and reusable coffee cup from Hunu is not only part of my travels, but I actually use it every day. It folds down into a very flat disc, so that it fits into every pocket. It can hold nearly 600ml of liquid and is therefore perfect for my daily coffee. I personally do not use the straw, but it works as well. It cleans also very easy, and I am using it for over two years now.
Spigen USB-C Charger
A good USB charger is essential on travels. This charger (but there are many others by other companies as well) is well suited for that. I just need one outlet and can charge everything I need from this one block. Smartphone, battery pack, even my laptop. There is a 65W and 120W version. Combined with an international power adapter, nothing can really surprise me. Well, except a power failure…
Jabra Elite Active Headphones
In my opinion one of the most important items on the list. I can’t sit in a train or plane without them. I need my music and my choice fell on these headphones, although others are suited as well. They are lightweight, fit well into my ears and shut everything I don’t want to hear out. They are not noise cancelling, but loud enough for most cases. I actually use them daily as I am one of these commuters…
I could continue with luggage, backpacks and sling bags, but I think that is not necessary. What is your most used travel gadget?
